FROM STRUGGLE TO HOPE: How Oheneni Adazoa’s Fertility Journey Inspired 16 Women to Become Mothers

Ghanaian media personality Genevieve Abrefa Yeboah, widely known as Oheneni Adazoa, has revealed how her candid interview with Delay about her 20-year struggle with infertility has transformed the lives of many women.

In a heartfelt reflection on the impact of the interview, Oheneni shared that numerous women facing similar fertility challenges reached out to her for support. In response, she created a WhatsApp group to provide a safe space for these women, offering guidance, encouragement, and access to medical advice.

The group, which grew to include 540 members, became a source of hope and solidarity. Oheneni occasionally invited doctors to the platform to provide expert advice, and the women also dedicated an hour each day to prayer. Miraculously, 16 women from the group have since given birth, a testament to the power of faith and community.

“That interview with Delay opened a big platform for me,” Oheneni recounted. “A prophetess called and told me that God would open a bigger platform because I was brave enough to share my story. Delay also mentioned that many women reached out to her for help, so she suggested I create a WhatsApp group for them. I did just that, and we’ve been supporting each other ever since.”

Oheneni also expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of her husband, Mr. Abrefa, throughout her journey. “If you don’t have a man who can stand by you during your hardest times, you will easily give up. My husband is truly one in a million. I can’t imagine a young man deciding to stand by me through all of this. I believe that one day, God will answer my prayers too,” she said emotionally.

Her story has not only inspired hope but also highlighted the importance of openness, support, and faith in overcoming life’s challenges. As Oheneni continues to advocate for women facing fertility struggles, her journey serves as a beacon of resilience and possibility
