Popular Ghanaian comic actor, Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, known professionally as Funny Face, has officially returned to his home in Kasoa after nearly a year of living with fellow actor Kwaku Manu to focus on his mental health recovery.

The emotional move was captured in a video shared on his social media on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, showing him at Kwaku Manu’s East Legon residence, where he had been staying since December 2024.

Kwaku Manu, who provided a crucial support system during this period, explained that Funny Face had moved in with him to aid his recovery and has now regained enough stability to return to his own home. He assured the public that they would remain in close contact through calls, visits, and joint public appearances.

“I want to say God bless Ghanaians, everybody who supported me to gain back my sanity, to come back to myself,” Funny Face expressed in the video. “When I came here, I was not able to control my triggers, but to God be the glory, I am able to.”

The comedian reflected on the significant personal growth he has experienced over the past year, acknowledging the toll his mental health battle had taken on his life, especially his relationship with his baby mama, Vanessa Nicole, and their twin daughters, Ella and Bella.

Funny Face’s journey has been public and challenging. In previous years, his condition led to a series of public breakdowns and social media rants directed at colleagues and family, resulting in multiple admissions to psychiatric facilities in 2024.

However, Kwaku Manu’s intervention provided a stable and supportive environment that proved pivotal. Since moving in, Funny Face has not only recovered but has also successfully rebuilt his career, resuming acting and collaborating with Kwaku Manu on several movie and TV projects. He has also reconciled with Vanessa, marking a positive turn in his personal life.

His return home signifies a major milestone in his ongoing journey toward mental wellness and stability.
