Nollywood superstar Genevieve Nnaji will be 37 this year and according rumors she has finally decided to marry this year.
The actress, who is also a mother of one, is reportedly set to marry 29-year-old film maker Alhaji Ishaya Bako. Rumour has it that Genevieve is bound and determined to be Mrs. Bako and that she really want to be wedded in 2016 so badly.
The duo first became friends after the Imo state-born actress moved to Abuja from Lagos Island base about two years ago. They’ve worked on quite a number of projects together, with the latest being the critically acclaimed movie ‘Road To Yesterday’, which was directed by Ishaya Bako.
Reports claim Genevieve has fallen head over heels for a younger lover in Alhaji Ishaya Bako. Ishaya Bako, a 29 years old Film Director and entrepreneur was said to have fallen in love with the actress at first sight and they have since been getting closer gradually.
Further reports also claim that Genevieve and Bako may be walking down the aisle pretty soon as the Kaduna born, London film academy graduate is willing to settle down with the actress not minding the age difference.
Ishaya Bako (born 30 December 1986) is a Nigerian film director and screenwriter. He was born in Kaduna, where he lived all his life and later moved to London, where he studied at the London Film School.
After attending the London Film School, Bako went on to script and direct the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA)-winning Braids on a Bald Head. He won the Best Short Film Awards at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards. He is an emerging voice of his generation and a member of a select few Global Shapers, a collection of enterprising youths initiated by the World Economic Forum.
His new film, Fueling Poverty, a documentary on poverty and fuel subsidy in Nigeria, is narrated by Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka. He lives in Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.
Genevieve Nnaji has previously been linked with several high profile and showbiz personalities including D’banj and Ramsey Nouah.
