Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has declared that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will recruit 12,000 young Ghanaians in the upcoming four years.
He stated that the national recruitment initiative aimed at enhancing the nation’s security while tackling youth unemployment.
Edward Omane Boamah disclosed in a Facebook post that the initiative has been approved by President Mahama.
Edward Omane Boamah in his post stated, “This nationwide exercise has been approved by President John Mahama. Get ready for a career of service and pride. Make sure you’re medically fit before applying, as the training is intense”.
“I worked at the 37 Military Hospital for five years. People have died during military training. You’ll be expected to abandon all forms of normal life”, he cautioned.
