Ghanaian rapper King Paluta has taken to social media to express his amusement and frustration after a once-loyal fan abruptly withdrew support for his Artist of the Year (AOTY) nomination. In a tweet that has garnered over 79K engagements, King Paluta shared his bewilderment at a fan who passionately championed his AOTY campaign just last week only to suddenly declare him “undeserving” of the award.
“I’ve seen one guy who was supporting me heavily. Even last week… Everytime ‘Paluta for AOTY.’ Yesterday, make I go see aa, he say I no dey deserve the award again 😊,” the rapper posted, punctuating his message with a sarcastic laugh.
He further hinted at possible industry manipulation, adding: “Every Twitter influencer on the payroll already?? Lol. Ghana Music, wake up! (in Wendy Shay’s voice).”
