GHANA POLICE SWOOPS IN ON PHONE SNATCHERS ALONG ACHIMOTA FOREST STRETCH

Personnel of the Ghana Police Service have arrested a suspected gang of phone thieves believed to be behind a series of snatching incidents along the Achimota Forest stretch.
According to reports, the group targeted unsuspecting motorists in slow-moving traffic near the Achimota Roundabout.
The suspects allegedly took advantage of congestion to snatch mobile phones from vehicles before escaping into the nearby Achimota Forest.
The arrests follow repeated complaints from residents and commuters who have raised concerns about rising theft cases in the area.
Police say the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on street crime and enhance security within Accra and its environs.
