GHANA TO EXPERIENCE THUNDERSTORMS, SUNNY INTERVALS ON MAY 14

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has issued its 24-hour weather forecast for Wednesday, May 14, 2025, predicting a combination of partly cloudy skies, sunny weather, and isolated thunderstorms throughout the country.

GMET forecasts that residents in the southern half of Ghana will experience partly cloudy weather in the morning, with mist or fog patches expected in some areas. As the day progresses, sunny conditions will dominate, although occasional cloud cover is likely. By the late afternoon and evening, thunderstorms—either with or without rain—are expected to impact areas from the coastline to the northern regions.

• Takoradi: Misty in the morning, thunderstorms in the afternoon, and cloudy in the evening.

• Tamale: Thunderstorms likely in the afternoon and evening, with sunny intervals in between.

Additionally, GMET has issued a warning of rough seas along the coastline, advising coastal communities to exercise caution when engaging in maritime activities.
