“GHANAIANS DISAPPOINTED UNDER MAHAMA” – Agya Koo Calls For NPP’s Return to Power

Popular actor claims citizens feel worse off under current administration; urges opposition party to reclaim government in next election.

Popular Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has ignited political discourse by openly calling for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to return to power, claiming widespread public disappointment with President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

In a video shared online, the veteran actor and comedian asserted that many ordinary citizens compare the current government unfavorably with former President Nana Akufo-Addo’s tenure and feel life has become more difficult under Mahama’s leadership.

“Ghanaians are not happy with President Mahama, and many are calling for the NPP government to return to power,” Agya Koo stated. “They say things have changed as compared to the tenure of former President Akufo-Addo, and if that is how the people feel, then indeed the NPP must come back to power.”

The actor emphasized that his comments reflected genuine concern for the country’s direction rather than personal political interests, pleading with the public not to misinterpret his intentions.

“You all know that I am an actor, a comedian, and a musician, but please, do not insult me, because I speak with good intentions. I only echo the concerns of the people,” he explained.

The video has sparked mixed reactions online, highlighting the ongoing political divisions in the country as Ghana navigates its current economic and social challenges.
