GFA DEMANDED 50% OF OUR $100,000 BONUS TO BE SHARED TO PEOPLE WHO DIDN’T GO FOR THE WORLD CUP — Alhaji Grusah
Founder and bankroller of Kumasi-based King Faisal, Alhaji Grusah disclosed that following Ghana’s recent participation in the World Cup, all members of the management committee were instructed to repay 50% of the funds they received.
He stated that the Ghana Football Association clarified that the 50% would be distributed among football individuals who missed the chance to be part of the team at the World Cup.
He articulated that the rationale provided was illogical since he had not received any such funds as a football figure when others attended the prior World Cups that Ghana qualified for.
“Who informed Ghanaians that we received $100,000?” Individuals prefer not to declare that we obtained this money. We got this money, and they claim they want a 50% kickback.
They suggest we contribute 50% so that it can be distributed to those who did not attend. “I also have never gotten any money from a tournament I did not attend,” he said to Accra-based Sporty FM in somewhat broken English.
