GHANAIANS ONLY REMEMBER ME WHEN BLACK STARS PLAY – Asamoah Gyan Advises Kudus Amid Saudi Interest

Legendary Ghanaian footballer, Asamoah Gyan has recommended to Mohammed Kudus that he carefully analyze various factors before deciding on the reported offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

It has been reported that the Saudi club is offering a £150 million deal to the West Ham United player in order to make him one of the top earners in the Saudi league.

According to ESPN’s report, Kudus may receive an impressive weekly salary of $300,000 if he decides to switch from the Premier League to the Saudi League.

In an interview with Asaase Radio, Asamoah Gyan stated that the choice to relocate to Saudi Arabia or stay will be one of the most challenging decisions Kudus will face in his lifetime.

Asamoah Gyan warned Kudus to take into account the brief duration of a football career and the financial struggles faced by many players post-retirement when making his next decision.

“If it is true, it would be a very tough decision. I cannot decide for him; it depends on his people. He is young, but if you watch the business model of the game, although we play with passion, football is business.”

“In Ghana here, they only mention my name when the Black Stars are playing. Many players have died after retirement. It did not even become news; we did not hear of it. The people who would want to see you play in the EPL are thinking of their personal interest,” Asamoah Gyan said.

In the 33 matches for West Ham in the Premier League, Kudus scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists. He also scored five goals in nine appearances in the Europa League.
