Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has reacted to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s lawsuit against two police officers for raiding his home, suggesting that Ghanaians should instead be suing him for his tenure as Finance Minister.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on March 13, 2025, Anamoah criticized Ofori-Atta, calling him “the worst finance minister this country has ever known.” She accused him of implementing policies that caused widespread suffering during his time in office.
“By the same token, we should be suing him, Ken Ofori-Atta, for his wicked, evil ways that caused many to suffer for so long until he was FINALLY removed,” Anamoah wrote.
Background
Ken Ofori-Atta recently filed a lawsuit against two police officers for allegedly trespassing on his Cantonments residence and violating his privacy. The raid, which occurred on February 11, 2025, involved a team of 12 individuals, including military and police personnel, who searched his property without a warrant.
While Ofori-Atta seeks legal remedies for the incident, Anamoah’s comments highlight the lingering public dissatisfaction with his tenure as Finance Minister, during which Ghana faced significant economic challenges.
