GHANA’S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE SOLVING OUR MAJOR ISSUES BUT IT’S NOT – Senior Presidential Advisor, Osafo Maafo

Senior Presidential Advisor Yaw Osafo-Maafo has expressed concern over the continuous decrease in the country’s educational system in recent years.

Osafo-Maafo voiced his dissatisfaction with the fact that despite having a high standard of education and educated citizens, the country’s issues remain unresolved.

Osafo Marfo believes that the only solution to address issues like poor sanitation, recent flooding, and its severe consequences is by revising the educational system.

“We have a change, but that change must be manifested into solving the problems facing this country, as we go along. So, we should begin to think through education as a problem-solver for the nation,” he said as quoted by citinewsroom.com

Yaw Osafo-Maafo urged Dr Yaw Osei-Adutwum, the education minister, to enact policies targeted at addressing these issues.

“This is my simple message to the minister of education [Dr Yaw Osei-Adutwum], and the whole educational system. We have a myriad of problems facing us in our education system.

“Our education system and the content should aim directly at resolving these problems, simple problems like sanitation, flooding,” he opined.
