Ghanaians have been urged to develop the habit of giving their loved ones books as gifts, especially on Valentine’s Day, by media stalwart, Nana Aba Anamoah.
On February 14, the day before Val’s Day, Nana Aba addressed Twitter users and advised them to try their best to avoid sending away the customary gifts.
She suggested substituting books for customary presents like chocolates, flowers, teddy bears, money, cars, and so forth.
“Buy story books for your partners this Valentine. T for thanks”, her statement read.
Since then, a lot of people have responded strongly to Nana Aba Anamoah’s statement on social media.
Netizens who either agreed or disagreed with her views have expressed varying levels of concern.
“Just try it the way these ladies will insults you, they don’t like reading”, A social media user replied.
“That is how Third World War is going to start,” said another.
