GLOBAL INFOANALYTICS PREDICTS MAHAMA’S VICTORY IN 2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

According to a forecast by Global InfoAnalytics, the main opposition leader and National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, is set to win the 2024 presidential elections with 52.2% of the vote. The projections also indicate Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, representing the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), will secure 41.4%.

The survey, released on November 29, 2024, also featured other candidates, including Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, who is expected to gain 2.5%, Nana Kwame Bediako with 3.0%, and 0.9% for other contenders. With a margin of error of ±1.8%, the prediction includes regional variations in voter turnout, which is projected at 77.6%.

Regional Outcomes

Mahama is projected to dominate in key regions such as Greater Accra, Central, Western, Volta, Western North, Bono East, Northern, Savannah, Upper West, Upper East, and Oti. Conversely, Dr. Bawumia is expected to lead in the Ashanti, Eastern, Ahafo, Bono, and North East regions.

Parliamentary Seat Projections

In the parliamentary race, the NDC is forecasted to secure approximately 150 seats, compared to the NPP’s 99. An independent candidate is expected to win one seat, while 29 constituencies remain too close to call.

These predictions offer a glimpse into what could be a closely contested election, with both the presidential and parliamentary races expected to shape Ghana’s political landscape significantly. Further updates are anticipated after polls close on December 7, 2024.
