Renowned Ghanaian Gospel singer, Ohemaa Mercy born Mercy Amoah is of the opinion that it will be sacrilegious for the Parliament of Ghana to okay Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) activities in the country.
She claims that since God despises homosexuality, legalizing it will bring his wrath upon the nation.
“I sit here and say on authority that if homosexuality is legalized, the country will face the wrath of God. I am standing the stead of all Christians and saying that we are fighting for the next generation of the country and will not relent. This is something that can destroy a country and should not be encouraged at all.
The Gospel Minister believes that it is a spirit that forces people into homosexuality.
“I believe it is a spirit. This spirit turns people with high repute into animals that need special attention from God. They should not legalize it but to me, people who are involved should be accepted by the Church and pray for them,” she said.
