President John Mahama has commended the CEO of the Ghana GoldBoard (Goldbod), Sammy Gyamfi, for what he calls a remarkable beginning to the new organization’s activities.
The Ghana GoldBoard, previously called the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), was officially inaugurated on April 2, 2025, tasked with supervising and regulating gold trading operations within the nation.
Shortly after its formation, the Goldbod has reportedly made impressive progress, attaining outcomes that President Mahama has praised as extraordinary.
“Mr. Sammy Gyamfi is the Chief Executive of the Ghana Goldbod that is doing wonders already,” the President said while introducing the NDC National Communications Officer during a speech in the Ahafo Region as part of his national “Thank You” tour.
