‘HANDS OFF OUR HOTELS DEMONSTRATION’ TAKES PLACE TODAY

‘Hands off our hotels demonstration’ will come off today, June 18, 2024.

This is a demonstration organized by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa against the sale of four Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) hotels to Rock City Hotel Limited.

The North Tongu Member of Parliament has support from Organized Labour, Minority in Parliament and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

At a press conference Monday, the North Tongu Member of Parliament said the demonstration will start at 8:00 am in front of the Labadi Beach Hotel, proceed to the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, and continue through Giffard Road leading to the Lands Commission.

He explained that contingent on an official of the Jubilee House meeting them to receive the petition, he has agreed with the Police to terminate the protest at the Christ the King Catholic Church close to the Jubilee House.

It will be remembered that Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa jas petitioned CHRAJ to investigate the sale of four Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) hotels to Rock City Hotel Limited.

He is of the view that it is part of a grand scheme of state capturing by the current government; something that should not be countenanced.

Ablakwa in several posts on social media is of the view that there is no value for money considering the fact that these facilities are even profitable than Rock City Hotel.
