The commander of the Ashanti Regional Fire Service, ACFOII Peter Teteh, has revealed some issues they are encountering as an organization.
In an interview with Kwame Tanko on Lawson FM, as reported by Gh Page, the commander revealed that they frequently receive pranks from certain Ghanaians.
He claims that, based on his observations, the fire service gets over 100 prank calls every day—that is, individuals contact them with supposed problems, but upon arrival, they discover it’s false.
He pointed out that this has made it very hard for them to tell apart real cases from fake ones, mentioning that there are too many prank calls.
He has thus urged everyone to stop the practice of pranking the fire department.
He asserts that the prank calls can occasionally lead them to appear unconcerned about specific serious matters.
