Ghanaian entertainment critic, Kwaku Osei Koranteng Asiedu, also known as KOKA, has slammed Stonebwoy for his comments on not being included in a recent Grammys hiplife tribute.
During a conversation with Kwadwo Sheldon, KOKA was prompted to give his thoughts on the debate regarding Stonebwoy’s absence from the latest Grammys coverage.
The candid entertainment commentator expressed their opinion that the dancehall artiste’s remarks were baseless. KOKA claimed that Stonebwoy’s TGMA Artiste of the Year award win does not give him the right to be considered a hiplife music pioneer.
“He has lost it. He is not current. The fact that you are the Artiste of the Year does not warrant that you should be in the past history,“ KOKA remarked.
“He doesn’t have a case. That is why he is talking for himself. If he had a case, the community would speak for him, but this one is more like a rant. He is a crybaby,” KOKA added.

The article examined how hiplife has developed from the late 90s to now, focusing on early influences such as Reggie Rockstone, Mzbel, and Obrafour, as well as current artists preserving the genre.
Still, the article highlighted Black Sherif and King Paluta for their efforts in showcasing Ghanaian music internationally, a move that Stonebwoy condemned.
