The father of popular Ghanaian TikTok personality Hayford Boateng, known online as GhKobby, has made a surprising statement following his son’s arrest for the alleged shooting and killing of his girlfriend, Philipa Frimpong, popularly known as Yaa Baby.
In a video circulating on social media platforms affiliated with GH Page, GhKobby’s father was seen paying a condolence visit to the grieving family of Yaa Baby. During the emotional meeting, he urged the family to maintain peace during this difficult period and to focus on ensuring that the late Yaa Baby receives a peaceful burial.
Shockingly, the father expressed acceptance of his son’s current detention, stating, “As for my son, wherever he is right now, it’s good.” He added, “Yaa Baby didn’t deserve to die, so wherever my son is, he should also stay there.”
The bereaved family has been asked to allow GhKobby’s family to partake in the burial arrangements, signaling a hope for some reconciliation despite the tragedy.
