Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has committed three months of his salary to MahamaCares.
Kwabena Mintah Akandoh promised similarly that President John Dramani Mahama contributed six months’ worth of his salary as well.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State for Government Communications, announced that President John Dramani Mahama has contributed six months of his salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (Mahama Cares).
In a post on social media page X, Felix Kwakye stated, “ President Mahama donates six months of his salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund(Mahama Cares). Programme currently being launched at UGMC”.
John Mahama inaugurated the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, referred to as Mahama Cares, and urged corporate Ghana to provide support.
The Mahama Cares aims to assist individuals struggling with chronic illnesses like kidney failure, cancer, and heart diseases.
The occasion was inaugurated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) today, Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
