Running mate of John Dramani Mahama in the 2024 elections, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the concern of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is that Ghana’s unemployment rate keeps rising.
Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang finds the numbers concerning and believes that much work needs to be done to improve people’s lives and lower the numbers.
She thinks that the NDC’s revolutionary 24-hour economy program will contribute to resolving Ghana’s unemployment problems.
“For us in the NDC our biggest worry is the fact that we have unemployment in this country and it is very high so what do we do, the market has been shut so you don’t have money, so you can’t borrow, so what do you do?
What do you think is what we are going to talk about? It is about using what you have, however, small and making it big. So what really is working, how is it working, how can you make it better, and how can it benefit as many of your people as possible?
If you have even a few jobs that are running and they are running one shift, how can you make it two? How can you employ a few more people than you do know,” she said.
