Entertainment expert Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has shared his thoughts on this year’s Artist of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
He believes King Promise has a strong chance to win.
On the United Showbiz program on UTV, Arnold talked about past winners.
He noticed a pattern where the TGMA often awards an artist who didn’t win the top prize the year before. This suggests King Promise might be favored to win this time.
Arnold reminded viewers that in 2021, KiDi almost won but lost to Diana Hamilton.
However, KiDi came back stronger and won the award in 2022, defeating Black Sheriff. A similar situation occurred in 2023 when Black Sheriff claimed the top award after missing it the previous year.
Arnold’s analysis indicates that King Promise, having been a runner-up to Stonebwoy last year, could very well be the next winner of the coveted award.
This year’s TGMA ceremony is approaching, with artists like Stonebwoy, King Promise, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, and others all aiming for the prestigious Artist of the Year title.
