Hotels in Kwahu, located in the Eastern region, have reported that they are completely booked for the Easter celebrations, making it difficult for anyone seeking accommodation during the brief holiday to find a room.
A Ghanaian blogger frequently covering Kwahu went to a hotel and requested a room reservation for Easter, but was refused.
In a video posted on X by @eddie_wrt, the Kwahu Ambassador inquired with a woman managing one of the well-known hotels in Kwahu about the availability of rooms.
To emphasize the nature of the demand, Lillian revealed that the hotel was entirely booked for the Easter season as early as the previous year.
“The whole place is booked. There are no rooms available. You did not come to book early. It became full as early as 2024.”
Lillian is employed at Freedom Hills Hotel located in Nkwatia-Kwahu.
In response to the news, the Kwahu Ambassador questioned where individuals who had not booked accommodations or made arrangements would lodge when visiting the area.
“All hotels claim to be fully booked for Easter celebrations in Kwahu. So, if you don’t have a friend who is from Kwahu or has a building in Kwahu, where will you sleep if you come?”
