HOW ‘JUJU MAN’ ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO CAST SPELL ON ME BUT FAILED – Nathaniel Bassey

Nigerian gospel minister says he countered alleged roadside enchantment attempt with Bible verses

Nigerian gospel minister and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has recounted an encounter in which he claims an alleged traditional spiritualist attempted to place him under a spell but failed.

According to Bassey, the incident occurred along an express road and marked the second time the same individual had approached him. He shared the experience while speaking during a worship session, explaining that the man knocked on his car window and began what he described as casting an enchantment.

“One time on the express road, he came and knocked. He was casting an enchantment, hoping that it would influence me. He was commanding me to do something, but I just stood there and laughed,” Bassey said.

The pastor stated that instead of reacting in fear, he began declaring Bible verses affirming divine protection. He referenced Psalm 105:15, which says, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm,” as well as Numbers 23:23, which reads, “There is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel.”

According to him, the man remained at the scene, seemingly waiting for the supposed spell to take effect. However, Bassey maintained that nothing happened.

“I just regretted that I should have kept him there for the police. While he was there, he was waiting for the spell to work on me. But Numbers 23:23 says there is no enchantment against Jacob,” he added.

Bassey said he eventually stepped out of his car and ordered the man to leave immediately.

Reflecting on the encounter, the cleric stressed that his account was not meant to glorify evil but to highlight what he described as the reality of spiritual wickedness and the power of faith.

“I’m not saying this to boast, but while we do not glorify the devil, there is wickedness in the world,” he stated.

His remarks have since generated conversations among followers online, with many expressing support for his stance on faith and spiritual protection.
