Afia Schwar, a controversial comedian and socialite, has, at last, commented on her 10-day detention by the Tema High Court.
After being found guilty by a Tema High Court of defaming the Ashante Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Afia Schwar was recently given a 10-day jail sentence (NPP).
After the court’s decision was announced, Afia Schwar remained silent for almost three days. Afia Schwar finally spoke out in a now-deleted post, criticizing Ghanaians for hoping and wishing for her demise.
The court also found Nana Ama McBrown, the host of United Showbiz, and her panelists Mr. Logic and Kwame A Plus to be in contempt of court for opposing Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, in a court motion.
Afia said in her post that despite being a single mother struggling to make ends meet, everyone in the nation is against her. She added a verse from the Bible to support her lamentations.
