I DIDN’T SAMPLE SLOOPY MIKE GYAMFI’S ‘ASEM KAKRA’ ON ‘ASEDA’ – Nacee Insists

Singer, Nana Osei commonly known as Nacee in the music scene has refuted allegations that he sampled Sloopy Mike Gyamfi’s ‘Asem Kakra’ on his ‘Aseda’ song.

He asserted “I didn’t sample Nana Mike Gyamfi’s Asem Kakra to do my Aseda song but one thing I want to say is that these are our legends who are our mentors and gave us inspiration since childhood.

He continued “Sometimes the way that was paved by these our elders is the same path that we’re also following and it is the same Highlife that we’re all doing and the difference is I mention the name of God in my songs.

In an exclusive interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, monitored by Mynewsgh.com, Nacee said when he was doing his song he had no idea that another song was ringing in his head.

“In fact when I was doing my Aseda song I had no idea that Sloopy Mike Gyamfi’s song was even ringing in my head so it was nothing like that but I know about that song,” he added as MyNewsGh.com monitored.

He posited “But it was nothing and nowhere near when I was doing Aseda so whatever be the case as for music sometimes melody wise some parts might sound the same.

“Some people even say I sampled K.K Kabobo, others say, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, some also say I sampled Moses by A.B Crentsil but I’m honored that all these legends are being connected to my Aseda song,” he argued.
