Media personality Ohemaa Woyeje recently discussed her method for achieving harmony in her marriage in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM.
Reflecting on the beginning of her marriage, Ohemaa shared that she used to feel the urge to inspect her husband’s phone, influenced by concerns that a lot of newlyweds could understand. Yet, with time, her view changed as she grew to have complete trust in her partner
“I used to struggle during disagreements because I was a bit naive, but now, I don’t feel the need to complain,” Ohemaa admitted. “Sometimes it even surprises my husband. When I was younger, I’d check his phone if I felt uncertain. But now, his phone can ring for hours, and I won’t even think twice. If he has missed calls, that’s for him to handle!”
Ohemaa, who married Emmanuel Yaw Owusu Kusi, her Holland-based husband, in April 2017, highlighted how experience and patience are key to a lasting marriage. “Experience teaches you to be more tolerant, but it’s essential to protect your own peace,” she added.
