I DON’T THINK EFIA ODO MEANT ANY EVIL TOWARDS STONEBWOY DURING TGMA 2024 – King Promise

Ghanaian Afrobeats sensation, King Promise has commented on the intense controversy surrounding socialite Efia Odo’s comments about Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy during the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

During a conversation with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, King Promise supported Efia Odo, stressing that everyone has the right to express their views.

“We all know how Efia is, when she feels a way about something, she goes all out for it. I’ve known Efia even before I blew up. So it’s one of those things, everyone has an opinion. And she put out how she felt and what she thought, and that’s really what it was,” King Promise explained on Hitz FM.

He further clarified that Efia Odo’s intentions were not malicious. “I don’t even think she meant any malice. I don’t think she meant evil.”

King Promise also talked about facing online criticism, mentioning that he continues to receive negative feedback about himself.

“Do you know how many times I wake up and see a lot of similar things against me on the internet, even at that same time?”

He also highlighted the competitive aspect of the music business.

“It’s a competition. Like I said, we are at war. Everyone’s trying to win. And I wake up and see a lot of dirty stuff, but it’s not going to derail me.”

Efia Odo caused a stir before the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards when she openly supported King Promise for Artiste of the Year, but Stonebwoy ended up winning the award that evening.

After the disagreement, Efia Odo said sorry to Stonebwoy, and the pair later reconciled at the All-Black Party in Kumasi.

A video that was being shared online depicted Efia Odo and Stonebwoy having a good time at the event and embracing each other warmly.
