I FEEL THE IMPACT OF DUMSOR DESPITE LIVING IN THE US – Opanka

Ghanaian rapper, Armstrong Affum known by the stage name Opanka has said though he’s now staying in the US, he’s still feeling the impact of Dumsor.

He told Amansan Krakye he did the “Dumsor Demonstration” song because he’s still a Ghanaian and would return to the country.

He remarked “First of all I’m still a citizen of Ghana and I still reside here because I’ve not migrated to the US completely but I just came here for a couple of shows and a project.

“I’m not here to stay and I’ll return to continue with the work I’m doing here in Ghana so if something is going on there I’m also part of it and aside from me, my family is still in Ghana.

“Apart from my family, my fans and Ghanaians are also there so it’s not as if I’m living well and others are suffering then I’ll become happy so if others aren’t feeling okay it’s the same thing with me.

“That’s what leaders do and leaders think about their followers so I care about Ghanaians more than even me so it’s not just about me but about the entire nation that’s why I did the Dumsor Demonstration song,” he said.
