Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, a legendary Highlife artist, has publicly revealed that he is the father of eighteen children with nine different women, emphasising that he has no need to keep this information a secret.

The well-known musician acknowledged that his disclosure might draw criticism from the public in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on November 10, 2025, but he insisted that he saw nothing wrong with being open about his personal life.

Kaakyire added that his youngest child is only four months old and called his enormous family a wonderful gift. He thanked God for his blessings, pointing out that whereas some people find it difficult to have even one child, he feels lucky to have many.
