Claims that Sista Afia invited Tracy Shay to the stage at her recent All White Party event in Koforidua have been refuted.
This comes after extensive conversations on social media following the event.
Following the performance, videos of Tracy Shay, a teenager being coached by singer Wendy Shay, appeared online. At Sista Afia’s concert, the young girl—who occasionally performs with Wendy Shay—appeared on stage by herself and urged the crowd to stand up and support her.
Sista Afia has also released a comment on the subject, while Wendy Shay has clarified that she was unaware of Tracy Shay’s attendance and performance at the event.
In a press statement released on her social media handles on January 8, 2026, the musician distanced herself from the incident.
“My attention has been drawn to a number of social media stories, videos, and write-ups suggesting that I personally invited the young lady, Tracy Shay, onto the stage during my concert.
I wish to clearly state that I have no knowledge of how or when she got onto the stage, and I did not personally invite her to do so.
At this moment, my main focus is on the overall success of my 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry, which was a significant milestone for my career. I am currently holding a series of meetings with my management and team to review all aspects of the event. A detailed response on this matter will be issued at the appropriate time.
