“I HOPE THE EAST LEGON CASE DOESN’T END UP LIKE LIL WIN’S ACCIDENT CASE” – Media Personality, Kwame Gyan

Media personality Kwame Gyan has demanded justice for the East Legon accident, advocating for the state to hold Bishop Salifu Amoako and his 16-year-old son, Elrad, accountable. Gyan criticized the Bishop for not taking action, alleging that he ignored his son’s irresponsible actions, resulting in the death of two young girls.

In a comprehensive article, Gyan outlined various important aspects of the incident and then expanded on them. He criticized the Bishop for not taking action, stating that it was necessary for the state to step in and provide a resolution for the mourning families.

Gyan highlighted that Elrad, being only 16 years old, was not legally allowed to drive. However, online videos demonstrate him and his friends frequently driving at high speeds on public roads, treating them as if they were racetracks.

It is suspected that Elrad was driving at high speed of 160 to 190 km/h in a residential neighborhood such as East Legon over the weekend when the accident occurred.

Kwame Gyan emphasized the impact of the Bishop’s influence on his son’s irresponsible behaviour. He remembered a moment in the United States when Bishop Amoako bragged about driving cars in Ghana without license plates, with his son there. Even more worrying, the Bishop stated that despite his illegal actions, the police would salute him and call him ‘General.’

Gyan proposes that these remarks encouraged Elrad’s actions, leading to the Bishop probably knowing his son often drove, despite being under the legal age.

Although Elrad is still alive and getting the best medical treatment following the crash, the two young girls who were also in the accident unfortunately passed away. Gyan emphasized the sorrow experienced by the families of the victims and the significant injustice of the situation.

Kwame Gyan concluded his post by urging for continuous public anger until real justice is achieved, cautioning against a mishandling of the situation like in the case of actor Lil Win, where justice has not been attained following a deadly accident.
