I KNEW SHATTA WALE’S PEACE PACT WITH ME WAS NOT GENUINE, IT WAS ALL FOR A SHOW – Stonebwoy

Dancehall star, Stonebwoy has questioned the validity of his 2019 peace deal with Shatta Wale.

In an interview on Angel FM prior to his Legacy Nite show at Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on Sunday, December 29, 2024, the BHIM Nation leader expressed his displeasure with the peace process, alleging that Shatta Wale and his crew had hidden agendas from the beginning.

“I knew from the start that it wasn’t genuine,” Stonebwoy said bluntly. “Shatta and his team had their own agenda.

They weren’t really interested in making peace; it was all for show.”

Although he had some doubts, Stonebwoy chose to proceed with the peace conference, clarifying that it was not about himself but about the fans and the nation as a whole.

“This is someone who has insulted me countless times,” he continued. “I had my doubts about reconciling with him, but I went ahead for the sake of our fans and the country. It wasn’t about me—it was about the bigger picture.”

Stonebwoy took the chance to clarify his involvement in the legendary Asaase Sound Clash of 2020. Although many attributed the event to Asaase Radio, Stonebwoy claimed that the concept for the clash originated from him.

“That clash? It was my idea,” he revealed. “Shatta Wale can twist the story all he wants, but the truth is, I proposed it. Asaase Radio came on board later to support. People need to know the facts.”
