Hon. Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for the Assin South constituency, has clearly stated that he did not leave the popular show, Newsfile, in anger as some reports suggest.
This incident took place on Saturday, April 5, and has led to a lot of discussions because the show’s host, Samson Anyenini, and another guest, Sammy Gyamfi, made certain claims about it.
In a post on X, Hon. Fordjour explained that he was invited to join only a specific part of the program.
“I never walked out of Newsfile, contrary to what Samson Ayenini and Sammy Gyamfi put out. I was billed for only a particular segment and was told another panelist was billed to take over after my segment,” he explained.
He highlighted that he exited the studio after his assigned segment was over and during a scheduled break, sticking to the original plan.
“I left after my segment fully concluded and break was taken for me to exit while my replacement walked in to take her seat,” Fordjour stated.
He criticized Ayenini for being unfair and unfriendly as the show’s host, and he said he mentioned this before he left.
Fordjour also said that Sammy Gyamfi took a video of him leaving and sent it around on WhatsApp. Fordjour believes Sammy Gyamfi made it look like he left the show angrily.
“Sammy Gyamfi filmed the exit and broadcasted falsely on his WhatsApp with claims of me walking out the show,” he said, while describing the video as “staged, not coincidence.”
