Shatta Wale, the famous Afrobeat artist, has disclosed the motivation behind his track “ON GOD”.
During a guest appearance on Efia Odo’s Bants And Confession podcast, Shatta Wale disclosed that he created his hit song “ON GOD” in response to being likened to Black Sherrif by Ghanaians upon entering the music scene.
He said he was both injured and surprised by the comparison, as he labeled himself as a career disruptor.
Shatta Wale disclosed that during the song’s recording, God dispatched his angels to guide him in the studio.
“I sat down to record the song and angels were in my room. That’s what people didn’t know. The song was so spiritual to me before it came out. So when i sit down and see all these comparison, i go like please don’t try and fight what you don’t know”, Shatta Wale disclosed.
Shatta Wale believes he is among God’s chosen ones, so when he is targeted, angels and saints in heaven become upset and defend him.
“I am like the phoenix”, the Melissa hitmaker bragged.
