Kwaku Manu recently engaged in a meaningful dialogue with YouTuber Kwadwo Sheldon, where he discussed the motivating aspects of his path in the entertainment sector, especially his pioneering involvement in the YouTube skit arena.
In the interview captured by MyNewsGh, Kwaku Manu disclosed that his entry into YouTube originated from a straightforward aim to establish his personal brand instead of immediately prioritizing financial gain.
At the beginning of his YouTube journey, Manu created brief skits that commonly included his biological sibling, Filla Man.
“When I started posting content on YouTube, I wasn’t thinking about monetization. My goal was to get recognized and establish myself. I wanted to make sure people knew who I was and what I stood for,” Manu shared candidly.
These videos were more than mere entertainment; they served to establish his presence in a realm that had not yet been thoroughly investigated by other Ghanaian content creators.
“I didn’t have any money to invest, but I knew the importance of creating content that would speak for me. I just wanted people to watch and appreciate what I was doing,” he stated.
“I remember one day we were travelling from Kumasi to Accra, and my spiritual mother was with me. During that trip, I wrote my first script, inspired by a concept I came up with on the road. She had always encouraged me to trust my instincts and pursue my creative passion.” he added.
