, During the christening of their twins on Saturday, August 31, Ghanaian actress Selly Galley-Fiawoo shared the difficulties she and her husband encountered on their path to becoming parents.
Selly expressed her profound thanks to God for the twins they had been hoping for after nine years of trying to get pregnant since they got married.
Contemplating their journey of love and the criticism they faced on social media because of their infertility challenges.
She said: “Last year, I cried a lot, but it’s all to God’s glory. About sixteen years ago, this man came into my life, and it changed forever. I am the most special thing that has happened to him. Despite nine difficult years and numerous challenges, God did not shame us. We were mocked on social media, but here we are, blessed with twins.”
Selly also shared that she had experienced a previous pregnancy during their time of waiting, but unfortunately suffered a miscarriage.
She added: “I did get pregnant along the way, but it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us that something greater was ahead. Now, we are celebrating double blessings—twins, a boy and a girl.”
The christening was attended by notable celebrities, including Nana Ama McBrown, Fella Makafui, and Stacy Amoateng, among others.
