Sista Afia lamented the failure of her Queen Solomon Concert at Tamale’s Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, blaming it on the absence of performers from the Northern Region and the intentional blockage by some people.
Sista Afia claims that the sabotage of her event was caused by the absence of some of the Northern Region’s biggest artists, such Fancy Gadam, from the lineup.
She claimed that during the concert, electrical plugs were repeatedly pulled out of their sockets, resulting in blackouts on stage even before she began to play.
“The whole show was sabotaged because I didn’t have Fancy or one other artiste on the bill. So they kept removing the plugs. When I stepped on stage, after 2 seconds, they took the plug, and all the lights went back off. They kept doing it even before I went on stage,” she said.
She added that although all required steps had been taken to ensure a good concert, the desired results had not materialized.
Moreover, Sista Afia revealed that she had asked Macassio and Fancy Gadam to attend but they had not shown up.
“We did everything possible. I mean, we did the prom, and we met the Chiefs. We did everything you are supposed to do when it comes to Tamale.
“We contacted Fancy. I contacted both of them. Then he (Fancy) gave me an amount that I have to pay, and we bargained. And the minute I was about to pay, he wasn’t answering my text,” she added.
