Shatta Wale, the king of the dancehall, has recently made some shocking statements about other musicians and the Kotoka International Airport.
He claims that several Ghanaian singers use the Kotoka International Airport to transport hard narcotics into and out of the country.
The singer of “Ayoo” was responding to remarks made about Hajia4real’s detention in the US on social media, where his name was included as one of her aides.
He angrily rejected any affiliation with fraudulent activities in an emotional video that has gone viral on Twitter and expressed his surprise that such charges were being made against him.
“As they have arrested hajia4real, some people have been asking the FBI to check me. I’m seeing everything on the internet and I didn’t have the time to react but now I am,” he said.
“Do you think I’ll do fraud? Why would I engage in fraudulent activities? Big men in the country have crossed their arms and are waiting to see if I’ll be arrested, saying because of the way I am,” he continued.
Shatta Wale further alleged that the Kotoka International Airport is aware of and keeping an eye on the drug smuggling that many Ghanaian artists engage in.
“Once upon a time, I was told there are Ghanaian artists who smuggle cocaine outside the country and the airport monitors them. The airport knows, go and ask them how many artists travel with cocaine that they’re aware of,” he revealed.
