One of the most prominent celebrities who actively supported the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the run-up to the most recent general elections, Prince David Osei, has added his voice to the rising discontent with the current administration over the ongoing deterioration of living circumstances.
The actor posted a screenshot from a news source indicating that Ghana is the country with the highest food prices in Sub-Saharan Africa, topping 100%.
Prince abandoned party politics to call on the president to fix the country before things get out of hand in a post that stunned many and was praised by a majority in equal measure.
Prince, who campaigned for the administration in question, opted to forego the style of politics practiced in Ghana by vehemently criticizing it in the face of adversity in the nation. This decision has been praised by many.
His full post reads;
Mr President! With all due respect Mr President, why are you sleeping on Ghanaians. This is not acceptable Mr President. We deserve better, we know there are global crises and hardships. Yes, we know! But looks like you and your ministers are determined to inflict untoward hardship on the citizenry.
