John Dumelo, renowned actor and politician, has announced an extensive array of educational support programs he intends to implement if he wins the election for Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon.
His primary initiative, the School-and-Work (SAW) program, seeks to offer university students remote job opportunities, enabling them to acquire professional experience and earn money while they study.
Dumelo is confident that the SAW program will ease financial burdens on students while ensuring their academic achievement is not affected.
Beyond the SAW program, Dumelo has also proposed collaborating with the private sector to construct affordable student hostels to address housing challenges within the constituency.
He’s optimistic that the first hostel will be completed within 12 months of assuming office and has encouraged his constituents to hold him accountable if he fails to deliver.
In addition to these plans, Dumelo expressed a commitment to supporting students financially, ensuring that no tertiary student defers their education due to unpaid fees.
In addition to the SAW program, Dumelo has also suggested partnering with the private sector to build budget-friendly student accommodations to tackle housing difficulties in the constituency.
He remains hopeful that the initial hostel will be finished within a year of taking office and has urged his constituents to keep him accountable if he does not succeed.
Alongside these initiatives, Dumelo emphasized his dedication to providing financial assistance to students, guaranteeing that no higher education student postpones their studies because of outstanding fees.
He is already providing “chop boxes” filled with essential provisions and cash allowances to senior high school (SHS) freshers in Ayawaso West Wuogon, easing the burden on families.
Dumelo’s efforts have elicited varied responses from internet users.
Although numerous individuals have lauded his concepts as beneficial advancements for student assistance, a few have raised concerns about the practicality and viability of executing these initiatives.
When I become the Ayawaso West Mp, I will initiate the SAW program. School and work program. University students can work remotely online for various companies whilst schooling on campus. #idey4u
