In his capacity as a minister of the gospel, celebrated Ghanaian Gospel musician, Joe Mettle has clearly said that he will never accept any ambassadorial or endorsement deal with a betting company.
The former Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) remarked that while he needs money to further his career, there is a limit to how far he will go to obtain money to maintain himself.
His stance comes after media personality, Andy Dosty of Hitz FM asked him if he would ever take a deal from a betting company when they were in the studio.
“It’s a straight no for me. You need to know where to draw the lines. You need to know where you really stand and what to work on, and what will not work for you.
As I said, I’m first a minister of God before I am a musician. I happen to be a minister of God who is gifted with the ability to sing. And so my first assignment is my service to God, and so he expects certain things from me,” he said.
