Ghanaian rapper, Ponobiom, formerly known as Yaa Pono, says he regrets waging a lyrical fight with Shatta Wale of Dancehall fame.
According to allegations from early 2017, Shatta Wale had blocked Ponobiom from performing at a concert at Cape Coast Stadium, where the former was the headliner.
Ponobiom stated in an interview that the dancehall act’s actions may have been motivated by Shatta’s fear of stealing the show. This is because he claims to have a sizable fan base in Cape Coast.
Shatta Wale’s reply to a request from Ponobiom, on the other hand, sparked the feud between them.
Ponobiom had requested that Shatta collaborates with him in order to revitalize what was then perceived as a failing music business.
