The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has once again stated his dedication to revealing the flaws of the current government, stating that he will not protect President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s reputation for mismanagement, corruption, and state capture.
Mahama slammed the NPP government, claiming it is exacerbating economic difficulties and promoting corruption.
He indicated that keeping quiet about the problems affecting Ghana under the present government would not be fair to its citizens.
In a Facebook post, Mahama said “Do you know why President Akufo-Addo is fighting against handing over to me? John Mahama will not protect his legacy of mismanagement, corruption, state capture, and inflicting hardship and poverty on Ghanaians.”
He reiterated the importance of informing Ghanaians about the current situation as both a former leader and a candidate aiming to regain power.
Mahama stated that the current government’s decisions have caused a rise in poverty, joblessness, and a loss of faith in the government.
Mahama’s comments coincide with the country facing economic difficulties such as increasing inflation and a devaluing currency.
Critics of the government frequently blame supposed cases of corruption and inefficiency as key factors in these problems.
