Harold Amenyah, a Ghanaian actor, has questioned his wife Irene Amenyah about how she chooses to respond to the public’s interest in her encounter with online trolls after their widely publicized wedding three months ago.
In a recent video that Harold posted, he questioned Irene about how she would handle the unfavorable remarks they had received.
Irene openly admitted that the initial barrage of criticism was deafening, especially since Harold had to go for work abroad soon after their wedding, leaving Irene to feel alone.
She expressed, “In the beginning, it was quite overwhelming. We saw how the messages kept flooding our phones and social media. You were here, my support, and then suddenly, you disappeared, leaving me feeling alone.”
Irene saw a difference in the frequency of critical remarks with time, though. She wondered why the trolling had abruptly stopped as the criticism gradually lessened
She admitted, “At some point, I noticed that the negative comments were gradually decreasing. I wondered why they had suddenly stopped. Was it not an issue anymore? But eventually, I became accustomed to it.”
Irene added that she developed a special strategy for dealing with the critical remarks in addition to being accustomed to them.
She made the decision to view the criticism differently rather than allowing it to negatively influence her. She understood that the overarching storyline around their story would lose part of its intrigue if there were no critical remarks.
Even further enhancing the dynamics of public perception and involvement, Irene claimed that individuals would show up and get into arguments in response to her social media posts.
It’s important to note that on April 1, 2023, Harold and Irene gained notoriety when a picture from their wedding ceremony went viral on social media.
