Sports Journalist, Jeffrey Amoah has reportedly criticized former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for his recent press statement, stating that Ghanaians are not pleased with him.
Political parties in Ghana will do whatever it takes to utilize celebrities and public figures as their political tools, particularly during elections, as noted by Jeffery Amoah.
Using Asamoah Gyan as a scapegoat, he justified how his political ties tarnished his legacy.
“The data and statistics online show that the opposition party has a higher chance of winning this upcoming election. This has caused some tension so political parties are trying every means to lure celebrities and public figures to their side to campaign for them. So if any celebrity allows himself to be used, he or she will have regrets like Asamoah Gyan. The Sports Journalist also labelled Asamoah Gyan as dishonest, stating that he is involved in the corruption carried out by the country’s leaders.
Just a few days ago, Asamoah Gyan made a statement renouncing his connection to any political party.
Asamoah Gyan, through a post on social media, stated that his actions are aimed at empowering and creating a conducive environment for the youth of Ghana to succeed.
