Ghanaian actress, Portia Asare has verified speculations about her split from her second spouse, three years following their wedding in 2021.
The affirmation follows reports on social media in 2023 indicating the possible end of her marriage to Raymond Kwaku Marfo due to allegations of Marfo’s infidelity.
During an August 2024 interview with Ahodwo TV, Asare acknowledged the divorce but declared her commitment to maintain resilience and faithfulness to God in spite of the circumstances.
This is Portia Asare’s second time getting divorced. In 2013, she was once married to Pastor John Wilberforce Aidoo, but the marriage didn’t last before she reappeared in the public spotlight in 2019.
“I am not a quitter. Nothing defeats me except going against the will of God. I am not going to give up just because I’ve been divorced twice. I am not at a disadvantage. The Lord says he will order my steps. He’s the one who tells me where to go,” she said.
