IF NOT FOR AKROBETO’S INTERVENTION, I WOULD HAVE LEFT GHANA – Joyce Blessing

Gospel singer, Joyce Blessing has said that she was in a difficult situation and was on the verge of leaving Ghana for overseas in search of better opportunities. However, she changed her mind after being chastised by Akwasi Boadi, also referred to as Akrobeto.

Kumawood star, Akrobeto, according to her account, encouraged her to remain in Ghana as, in comparison to his time there, he has gained more experience from staying.

The gospel singer revealed that during difficult times in her life when she was having trouble making ends meet, she entertained the thought of quitting her job and leaving the nation.

In an interview on OKAY FM, Joyce Blessing commended Akrobeto for persuading her to stay in Ghana and pursue her music career, saying that it has helped her become the person she is today.

“I was not joking when I hinted at leaving the country. But since we are humans certain things will get to you. There was one person who sat me down and advised me against the idea of leaving the country.

“That person is Akrobeto, he told me to ‘discard the idea of discontinuing my music career and leave the country for abroad. Because he once traveled and when he came to Ghana what God has done for him exceeds the opportunities he had abroad’. I don’t know what he saw though but he convinced me to stay in Ghana,” she said.

Joyce Blessing made this statement after Abeiku Santana, the program’s host, pressed her to clarify her decision to remain in the nation after she had alluded to leaving because of the difficulty.

Considering the progress she has made in her singing career, she acknowledged that remaining in Ghana has been advantageous.
