Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin publicly expressed remorse to Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah on live TV.
This apology follows his proposal for an extrajudicial resolution in the current GHS 5 million defamation case brought against him by Ankomah.
In his statement, Lil Win admitted that people are likely to upset each other; however, it is his duty to acknowledge his mistake and say sorry.
Despite rumors, Lil Win stated that he did not verbally abuse Ankomah.
He clarified that his remarks were simply a reflection of his disappointment regarding her choice to not appear in his film.
“If she felt offended by my comments, I humbly apologize. There’s no hate or bad blood,” he added.
Martha Ankomah filed a defamation lawsuit on February 14, 2024, in response to a viral video where Lil Win supposedly made insulting comments about her role and importance in the movie sector.
Ankomah is suing because she says her reputation and that of GTP have been harmed by these statements.
Ankomah claims that Lil Win wrongly accused her of belittling Kumawood actors and declining to work with them because she believed the storylines were of inferior quality.
